To teach is to be a deeply inspired student! Our YTT immerses students deeply in Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, the original of modern day flow and power styles. Learn the art of intentional sequencing, adjustment techniques, yoga anatomy and modern alignment. Develop a meditation practice and embody your studies of yoga philosophy and practice.

In this workshop, we'll go back to the basics with a heightened awareness to discover how downward dog and sun salutations hold the secrets to inversions and postures like crow. Explore how bringing the breath under control can connect us with a deeper integration of strength and body awareness as we study the anatomy of the upper-body, and the fascinating relationships between breath and core strength (bandhas). Learn progressions for safely developing forearmstand, headstand and handstand on your own and with a wall.

Breath Control and Core in Asana and Pranayama

The breath is a way of synchronizing mind and body to bring about relaxing meditative states. Exploring this connection in greater depth can also give us energy and strength to move through our mat practice (and everyday life) with grace and ease.
Study the anatomy of the core of breathing in an experiential way, as you’re guided through breathing exercises and vinyasa (movement practices) that emphasize using bandhas and breath retention for specific mechanical advantages…
